Baby Naan on Tawa | No Yeast No Tandoor Naan Recipe :-
These are made without any yeast ! They are super yummy and very easy to make.
These will taste as good as naan made in tandoor as I have shares tips and tricks to make them.
I have made this with All purpose flour. But you can make the same recipe with wheat flour too. Enjoy these with any vegetarian or non-vegetarian dish of your choice !!
Ingredients :-
For Dough -
All Purpose Flour / Maida : 2 Cups
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Baking Soda - 1/2 Tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1 Tsp
Curd / Yogurt - 1/4 Cup (Room Temperature)
Oil - 2 tbsp
Lukewarm Water to knead- As required
For Rolling Dough
Flour Loose - 1 Tsp (to Knead)
Oil - 1 Tsp
For Applying on Naan
Butter - 1 Tbsp (Melted)
Chopped Coriander Leaves - 1 tbsp
Method :-
Take the flour in a big mixing / kneading bowl.
Add baking soda, baking powder, salt & sugar and mix well.
Now add Oil , Curd and combine nicely.
Add lukewarm water and knead well and make a soft dough.
Now cover with cling film / cover and keep the bowl in a warm place (Like near gas, or inside Oven or Microoven).
This will help the dough to rise. Keep for minimum 2 hours.
After 2 hours take out the dough and knead with little more flower.
Now make balls (little bigger than chapatti balls).
Now apply oil on the rolling surface and roll the Naan in an oval shape. Do not make it very thin.
Heat a non stick tawa and add the Naan.
Roast well both the surface till golden brown.
Now with the help of a tong pout the Naan directly on gas flame and roast both sides.
(This step will give your Naan a tandoor flavour. So do not miss this step.)
Now in a bowl take melted butter and chopped coriander leaves.
Mix these two and apply on the Naan and serve hot.
